The Good, Bad And…

The Good, Bad And…
The good; the film Kenny. Australian and self-funded. It’s beautiful to hear stories of film-makers who can actually create something worthwhile that isn’t funded by money better off in the hands of single mothers. I haven’t met the guys who made Kenny, so I can’t say they’re on-song. The best way to find out is to see their next movie.
The Bad; Borat. To ask him something you have to submit your questions before any interview or press conference. That’s becoming more common. But Mr Cohen reads from an auto-cue in response at said press conferences – bad. 100% bad.
Surely that’s like miming your own songs at a live concert.
The fantastic; We’ve finished our Christmas special. And while filming I realised what Christmas is all about…
Well… who really knows.
I do know, however that I have commissioned from the way-cool artist Glenno Smith a customised vehicle for the second series of Duke & Leon’s Filmschool.
A rad trick-hip deck on super slick trucks – the skateboard to die for.
No money for a Batmobile, no time to built Gran-pa Munster’s coffin dragster – a skateboard it is.
Guerilla film-making;
Big ideas, no money, no problem.
Until next time and happy film-making.
