Sam Peckinpah.
Hard livin,’ hard film-making.
What is life really all about?
Hell, it’s damned hot and this head stinks.
It’s set in Mexico and is 112 minutes of go-go crazy-delic hardcore bullet-flyin’ rampage.
Warren Oates fights himself, bed-bugs, super-mean bad guys, locals, all while cruising Mexico in a smoke-blowing convertible. Never without his trademark sunglasses. And tequila.
Go hard never give up.
There’s a cool moustache and his lady friend is 100% thinking-male fantasy.
Ok, so a lot of people get killed. But that’s what happens when North Americans travel overseas.

Mexican beer classic. I can see where this is coming from. While refreshing a thirst well-earned on the dusty Central American trail it’s also subtle enough to be a best-buddy chaser. As in tequila with cerveza chaser, which seems to be the way to go when visiting Mexico. Or in Warren’s case, killing 21 people in a relatively short space of time.
Until next time and happy film-making.
