Count vs James
May 28th 2011 20:45
Dear readers,
if you are a semi-regular here at Fish on Film (I myself am only a semi-regular recently. Sorry about that), you will know that a lot of my spare time (spare from training droves of hunky new salesmen) was dedicated to watching films prescribed by my final module of my degree course. I am sure, also, that you are happy to know I have aced that assignment about Westerns et al.
Sadly, since then, I have been finalising my house move and training said sales hunks. So I am a little bit behind for my next assignment.
‘Why did British film genres continue to be popular throughout the 50s and 60s.’
And this is with regards to spy thrillers and gothic horror.
Any thoughts? Anything?
I had to watch ‘The Horror of Dracula’ for this essay and I must say, it was beautifully camp. Christopher Lee as Count Dracula rocks.
I also had to watch ‘The Spy Who Came In From the Cold’ and after two attempts, I still don’t know what it’s about or who the baddie is. Sorry, Mr. John Le Carré.
So anyway, Fish on Film HQ is now officially at Sussex Wharf, Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex and normal business will resume soon, once I have sufficiently discussed Dracula vs Bond.
